Ms. Annie Merle Spriggs, 87 of 2118 Pacer Drive Lancaster South Carolina passed away during the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Annie Spriggs was a retired homemaker and grandmother.

Grannie went to Heaven leaving to cherish her memory her sister, Gustava Collins of Winston-Salem North Carolina; two grandsons, Gregory K. Ewing of Columbia, South Carolina and Anthony J. Ewing of Chula Vista, California; two granddaughters, Martisha J. Ewing of Lancaster South Carolina and Yolanda Ewing of Chula Vista, California; three great-grandchildren, Ashley N. Ewing of Staten Island, New York, Sha-Toya L. Mobley of Lancaster South Carolina and Jonathan A. Ewing of Modesto, California; nephew, James W. and wife Patricia Collins of Winston-Salem North Carolina; niece, Debbie and husband Larry Johnson of Michigan; grand nephew, Germaine Collins of Maryland; adopted great-grandchildren, Brandy Gray of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Michael Cunningham of Lancaster, South Carolina; caregivers, Ms. Addie Jenkins of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Ms. Janie Ealey of Lancaster, South Carolina; in addition to a multitude of relatives and friends whose lives were touched by "Grannie's" feisty spirit. Grannie's spirit will live on as she earns her wings.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Todd Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
