Obituary
Mrs. Annie M. Smith departed this life peacefully on April 25, 2009 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Smith was a graduate of La Mae Beauty College and continued her education at Forsyth Technical Community College. She worked as an LPN at Kate Bitting Reynolds Hospital and later at Forsyth Medical Center until her health would not permit her to continue.
She was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters; her husband of sixty-two years, Reverend Harry A. Smith; one son, Harry A. Smith, Jr.; and her daughter, Doris S. Monk.
She is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Charles) Crumblin; grandchildren, Kamal Crumblin, Kesha Crumblin, and Nathan Smith; one great-grandchild, Kendalyn Crumblin; a sister, Edna (Johnny) Johnson and family; a brother-in-law, Ernest (Dena) Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, April 30, 2009 from the St. Andrews United Methodist Church with Reverend Pamela Blackstock officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11am on Thursday at the Church.
