Annie Mae Jackson was born in Darlington, SC on May 16, 1920 to Henry McCall and Emma Johnson McCall. She moved to Winston-Salem with her grandmother when she was a little girl. She was the third oldest and had 4 siblings.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, auntie, and friend made her transition into everlasting life after 102 years on this earth. She left her earthly home for her eternal home on August 5, 2022, at 8:20am.

Annie retired from RJR Tobacco Company as a quality inspector, where she also met her husband, Matthew Black Jackson. They had two children, Matthew Jackson, Jr. and Sharon Jackson.

She attended her family church, Macedonia Worship Center. She previously served on the nursing board and was a Mother of the church

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mrs. Lueize Bell, Mrs. Lena Mae Scriven, Mrs. Lethia Williams; and one brother, Mr. Isaac McCall.

Along with her children, Annie's pride and joy was her grandkids, Brandon Jackson and Tia Jackson; great- grandson, Elijah Lee-Archie; her niece, Evangelist Arlene Chavis; her grand-nieces that called her "Grandma", Tomeka Stewart, Angela Stewart, Christopher Stewart, and Aimee Stewart; among the people that were devoted to her are cousins, Delois Banner, Debora May, and her former daughter-in-law, Marilyn Jackson; she also leaves numerous treasured family, friends and church members.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Friday, August 12, 2022 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Macedonia Worship Center with Apostle S.D. Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.  The family visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
