Mrs. Annie Thomas Bratton, 84, of 3065 Bainbridge Drive passed away Monday, October 9, 2017, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home following a period of illness. She was born June 25, 1933, in Winston-Salem, the daughter of the late George Thomas and Jessie M. Neal. She received her High School diploma from the Winston Salem/Forsyth County School system and she was a retired employee of R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Crockett Bratton.

She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Reuben (Vanessa) Bratton, Jr. of Winston-Salem, Donald (Iris) Bratton of Greensboro, and Michelle Bratton of Winston-Salem; eight grandchildren, Katherine (Ray) Agnew of Los Angeles, CA, Marguerite B. (Henry) Murden, Lakisha S. (Anthony) Roseborough, Janava J. Price, Fredrina Pinkney, and Anthony Miller all of Winston-Salem, Donna N. Bratton and Dawn M. Bratton of Charlotte, NC; ten great-grands, Ray M. Agnew, III of New York, Malcom (Amanda) Agnew of North Dakota, Keenan Agnew of Illinois, Henry and Riana Murden, Tzachi Pinkney, Kelli Roseborough, and August Miller all of Winston-Salem, Makayla Young, and Delani Brown of Charlotte, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Serenus T. Churn, Sr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
