Obituary
Anna Louise Edmonds Jeffries, 84, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Springwood Care Center, Winston-Salem, NC. She was born October 17, 1923 to Linia Wood and Eddie Edmonds in Newsome, VA.
She was a member of the Beauty Of The West, Order of Eastern Stars #36 and an active member of First Waughtown Baptist Church serving on the Missionary Board until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Virgil G. Jeffries.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Carter and Pearl H. Fair both of Winston-Salem, NC; a sister, Callie Artis of Shunsen City, CA; three sisters-in-law, Mary Edmonds of Chesapeake, VA, Louise Edmonds of Norfolk, VA, and Henrietta Jeffries of Magnolia, NJ; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, March 17, 2008 at First Waughtown Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1 pm Monday at the church.
