Ann Henri' Farmer Hollingsworth was born February 16, 1932 in Wilson, NC to Henry Farmer and Emma B. Farmer. She departed this life on February 9, 2026.

Mrs. Hollingsworth was educated at the prestigious Palmer Institute in Sedalia, NC. She later graduated from Shaw University and earned her Master's in Education from NC A&T State University.

A life long educator, she worked in Smithfield, NC and High Point, NC before beginning a career in Winston-Salem, NC that spanned over 30 years, first at Carver Crest (Cook) Elementary, then, Skyland School, Walkertown Elementary, Cash Elementary as well as North Hills Elementary.

Mrs. Hollingsworth loved sports and enjoyed cheering on the teams coached by her late husband, William Henry Hollingsworth. She was a known fixture at her son and grandchildren's games as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emma Farmer; her husband, William Hollingsworth; and her brother, James Farmer.

Ann Hollingsworth leaves one son, Ronald (Crystal) Hollingsworth; grandchildren, Nikki Edwards of Raleigh, NC, Turquoise Lane of Charlotte, NC, Jacques' Lyons, Kwa'tre Hollingsworth and Destiny (Juan) Thompson all of Winston-Salem, NC; special friend, Phyliss Conley of Winston-Salem, NC; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to cherish her memory.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Saturday at the Chapel.
