Anita Yvette Howard, 57, passed Sunday, December 10, 2017. She was born October 10, 1960, in Winston-Salem, NC, the daughter of the late Howard Wilkins and surviving Lois Wilkins.

In 1978, Anita graduated from East Forsyth High School. She worked at Baptist Hospital for 27 years and was known by her colleagues as a very strong and determined leader. Anita considered her most important job her children. She loved the quality time she spent with her grandchildren and cooking.

Anita is survived by her loving husband, Lannis Howard; children, LaTonia and Reginald Price; stepchildren, NaShika Howard and Mahogany(Evan) Williams; three grandchildren, Talli Price, John Price-Richardson, and Troy Price; seven step-grandchildren, Shaquirra and Alexa Howard, Evan Williams II, Christal Howard, Madysun, Mason and Ean Williams; brothers, Thaddeus and Sydney Wilkins; sisters, Pearlie (Allan) Patton, Tammy and Sandra Wilkins, ; three sisters; and a host of aunts, uncle, cousins and loving friends.

Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Anita are invited to her homegoing celebration at 11:00am December 14, 2107 at Agape Baptist Fellowship, 1355 Peachtree Street, Winston-Salem, NC .  Burial will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.  The family visitation will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am on Thursday at the Church.
