Obituary

On the morning of Sunday, December 16, 2018, Mother Anita Seegers Baldwin transitioned from this realm to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Mother Baldwin was born in Forsyth County, NC on October 23, 1932 to the late Codell Seegers and Pecolia Hill Seegers.

Mother Baldwin was the founder and visionary of Sacred Hour Ministries, Inc. and Dove Ministries, both formerly of Clemmons, NC along with her husband Dr. William Baldwin.  She was known and recognized as a prolific and intellectual Bible teacher, senior pastor, mentor, and spiritual mother.  She held a Doctorate in Ministry and that was evident through her divine insights and supernatural revelations.  Her services, revivals, prayer meetings and retreats were not just another church gathering—they were life-changing, life-altering encounters in the Holy Ghost.  She was a glory vessel wonderfully touched by the Master Himself.  The River and the Breath of God flowed through her continuously.  She was a loving and affectionate woman of God yet also a strong, no nonsense leader.

She was not just a minister—Mother Baldwin was an experience!  After beginning their ministry with an in-home Bible study in September 1974, the Baldwins saw the charge grow and prosper.  They remained in the Washington, DC area until moving to the Winston-Salem vicinity in 1988 under an Abrahamic

directive from God.  Throughout their ministerial careers, the Baldwins watched many spiritual sons and daughters rise to their own places in God to become active ministers in the Body of Christ.

Mother Baldwin was preceded in death by her devoted husband and soulmate, Dr. William Charles Baldwin.  Dr. Baldwin was a husband unlike any other—loving, supporting and covering his anointed wife until he took his last breath.  She leaves to grieve their daughter, Charnita Kay Baldwin; 7 grandchildren: William, II, Jason Hammiel, Latoya Williams, Y'Shica Blackwell, Chavey Baldwin, Alonzo Baldwin and Ashley Baldwin; and a host of great-grandchildren, many other relatives, friends, and innumerable spiritual sons and daughters.

A funeral service of celebration will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mercy P. Jones of The Empowerment Church Center, Huntersville, NC eulogizing and Elder Kevin M. Battle officiating.  Interment will follow in the Piedmont Memorial Gardens.  The family visitation will be held from 9:30am until 10:00am on Saturday at the Chapel.
