With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Angela “Angie” Yvette Lewis, a beloved daughter, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loving fiancée, caring sister, aunt, cousin, and treasured friend. Angela peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 29, 2026, at the age of 50. Angela was born on October 6, 1975, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was known for her warm heart, beautiful smile, and compassionate spirit. Angie had a special gift for making everyone around her feel welcomed, valued, and loved. She lived her life with strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved and creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted fiancée of 18 years, Germane McCollum; her loving daughter, Shuanice Rush; her two adored granddaughters, Za’Leigha Brown and Za’Riana Brown; her loving mother, Carolyn Lewis; three sisters, Alfreda Pittman, Antionette Lewis, and Tyease Wright; two brothers, Anthony Lewis and Timothy Thomas; three nephews, Jashawn Lash, Jerrell Lash, and Tavion Pabon; two nieces, Jasmine Pittman and Jada Lash; three aunts, Deborah Brown, Evelyn Puryear, and Peggy Hawkins; as well as a host of cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Though our hearts are filled with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Angela’s love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love will remain in our hearts forever.
A Cookout and Balloon Release celebrating Angela’s life will be held at 3:30pm Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Weston Park. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in love, share memories, and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
