"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
Angela Nicole Dowd, also known to many as "Angie" was born November 18, 1975 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Robert and Della Dowd. She answered God's calling and received her heavenly wings on Sunday, October 7, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.
Angela attended the Charlotte Mecklenburg/Winston-Salem Forsyth County School Systems and was a graduate of West Forsyth High School. During that time, she was an outstanding competition dancer for Rhythm Dance Studio in Charlotte, North Carolina. She competed and won many national competitions in tap, jazz and ballet. She also ran track and was an all-conference hurdler for West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina. After graduation, she attended North Carolina Central University for a year. She then went on to graduate from Regency Beauty School. Angela worked for Reece Builders as a Telemarketer and was one of their top producers winning numerous employee of the month awards. Angela was baptized and was a member of Calvary Hill Church of Greater Deliverance. Angela was also a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan!
Angela was loved by all that knew her. She had many lifelong friends that will miss her outstanding personality, loving spirit, generosity and beautiful sweet smile. She was also a lover of dogs and her Pitbull, Pretty, will also miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Amos and Uverna Jordan and Bobby and Geneva Dowd.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories a son, Tavion L. Webb; a daughter, Jada S. Dowd; her parents, Robert and Della Dowd; a brother, Linwood Williams; a fiancé, Shannon Kimbrough; aunts, Bernadine (James) Howard, Shirley Allen, Patricia Jordan, and Edna Daniels; uncles, Charles (Linda) Dowd, Venson Jordan, Amos (Alberta) Jordan, and Sheldon (Shonda) Jordan; her Godmother, Doris Cooper Little (Linwood); and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
