Amanda Elizabeth Brown, a retired central sterile supply technician and life-long resident of Winston-Salem, NC answered God's call to come home on July 20, 2021.

Amanda is survived by her siblings, James (Deborah) Brown of Winston-Salem, NC, Carol B. (Robert deceased) Dearmon of Winston-Salem, NC, Robbie (Jerry) McDuffie of Rural Hall, NC, and Johnny Ray (Diane) Brown of Winston-Salem, NC. She is also survived by five nephews and two nieces, Dr. Ronnie D. Christian, Christopher Brown, Cedric Hall, Jerry McDuffie, Jr., Je'Rod McDuffie, Natasha (Corey) Thompson, and Cameka Dearmon; a very special great niece, Alexis Dearmon; one aunt, Katherine Wallace of Washington, DC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Freddie Brown; and three sisters, Hattie B. Christian, Cynthia B. Hall, and Freddie Maxine Brown.

Amanda was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on May 6, 1957, to the late Mack and Freddie Brown. She graduated from Parkland High School in 1975 and worked as a sterile supply technician for 40 years with Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and was a crossing guard with the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools for over 30 years.

Amanda was a loving sister and devoted church member. She enjoyed attending church services on Sundays, singing in the spiritual and gospel choirs. Amanda also volunteered faithfully at the Missionary Food Bank to serve the hungry. Amanda was a kind soul who loved to laugh and be of service. She was meek in the flesh, yet strong in the spirit to describe her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00noon Saturday, July 31, 2021 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.
