Obituary
Alvin Lee Lindsay, 53, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007. He was born in Forsyth County to Andrew Washington, Sr. and Mary Catherine Lindsay.
A retired Electrical Engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration, and beloved bus driver for the Winston-Salem Schools and Transit Authority, he was a passionate woodcrafter and fisherman with a joyous an mischievous sense of humor, he enlightened the hearts of many.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is lovingly survived by his two children, LaKesha Tamira Lindsay and Alvin Darnell Lindsay; an older brother, Andrew Washington, Jr. (Sharon) and younger brother, Allen Wayne (Debborah); aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and longtime companion, Wendy Wallace.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 14, 2007 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. Family visitation will be held from 11:30 am until 12 noon Friday at the funeral home.
