Obituary
Mr. Alton Hudson Wood departed his earthly life on December 11, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 14, 1939 to the late Fred and Daisy Wood and grew up in Rockmart, GA.
He served in the US Army in the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Dean Williams Wood.
Surviving are his children Paul (Alice) Williams, Kenneth (Cenythia) Wood, and Todd (Precious) Wood; sisters, Margaret Brown, Ocala, FL, and Frances (Alonzo) Summers, Greensboro, NC; brothers, Delma (Betty) Wood, Rome, GA, and Fred Wood, Cedartown, GA; ten grandchildren, Tileka Porter, Javon Long, Paul Williams, Jr., Ta'Shawn Wood, Kiarra Mitchell, MaKayla Wood, Jayla Wood, Tood Wood, Jr., Kendall Wood, and Taylor Wood; one great grandson, Javon Long, Jr.; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12noon on Tuesday at the Chapel.
