Ms. Allison Shawn Boulware, 63, was born August 10, 1960 in Winston-Salem, NC to James C. Sawyer and Goldie Maxine Greer.  She was raised by her grandmother, Joycie B. Boulware.

Her spiritual journey began at Hanes Memorial CME Church and she attended St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church before her health declined. She had a heart like Jesus Christ himself, and she often gave freely to others.

Allison was employed by Hanes Brands, Inc. for many years.  She loved family gatherings and celebrating the achievements of her nieces and nephews.  Allison was an immaculate dresser and was nothing short of a "Stylish Diva".

In addition to her mother, father, and grandmother, Allison was preceded in death by her grandfather, Andrew D. Boulware; and her grandparents, James and Corine Newton.

Left to cherish her memories are her sisters, Cynthia Joyner, Tomara (Ronnie) Monroe, Lonnetta (Roger) Means, Saburee Greer, and Ivee Greer all of Winston-Salem, NC; eleven nieces and nephews, Dainyel Greer, LaTiffanie (Lenardo) Davis, Justin Monroe, Christopher Greer, Antoine Lash, Wesley Summers, Burgundee Summers, and Antonio Ingram, Jr. all of Winston-Salem, NC, Robert (Kenda) Greer of Clovis, CA, Andrew (Sasha) Greer of Columbia, SC, and Lamar (Jaime) Joyner of Burlington, NC; stepfather, Robert T. Greer of Winston-Salem, NC; uncle, Perry (Fannie) Simon, Sr. of Darlington, SC; Goddaughter, Chloe' Fletcher of Atlanta, GA; her best friends and extended family, Thelma Merritt and Beverly Wall; and a host of many other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clarence W. Cox, III officiating.  Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12:30pm until 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Chapel.
