Obituary

On Tuesday, March 29, 2011 the Lord came down and picked up another angel from the family. Alleyne Benton Sadler Lindsay was born February 18, 1935 to the late Reverend Bright Field Benton and Magnolia G. Benton.
She married Jeremia A. Sadler and from this union two children were born. After his death she married Ernest Lindsay, Sr.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband's; four sisters, Annie M. Benton, Rosa L. Benton, Mary A.B. Stevens, and Lomzella J. Benton "Baby Jean"; and two brothers, Samuel L. James and Bright F. Benton, Jr.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Deborah D. Sadler James (Levonzy A. James, Jr.); one son, Ronald G. Sadler (Pauline Sadler); a brother, Elliott E. Benton (Claudette Benton); sister-in-law, Earlene Benton all of Winston-Salem, NC; seven grandchildren, Aaron L. Sadler, Elliott L. James, Jackie Gray, Alvin Johnson (Brandy), Antwan Johnson, Lashanta Johnson all of Winston-Salem, NC Travis D. Rice of Ft. Campbell, KY; a special Godmother, Elizabeth P. Ceasar; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Macedonia Worship Center with Apostle S.D. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 11am until 12noon on Saturday at the Church.
The family will receive guests at the home, 2635 N. Patterson Ave. W-S, NC.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Hospice and Palliative Care for the services rendered to Mrs. Lindsay.
