Mother Alice Louise Rowland, known to many as "Momma Louise", was born August 16, 1937 to the late Charlie and Cora Carpenter and answered the heavenly role call on Monday, January 27, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Kelly Rowland, Sr.; two sons, Ricky and Kelly Rowland, Jr.; three sisters; two brothers; and a lifelong friend, Mr. Otto Johnson, Sr.

She leaves many loving memories to four daughters, Jacqueline Alexander, Tammy (Ricky, Sr.) May, Cassandra Rowland all of the city and Sharon Rowland (Bobby) of Brooklyn, NY; one sister, Darlene (Bruce) Ziglar; two very devoted god daughters, Debra (Todd) Samuels and Bernell Martin; one god son, Anthony Vinson, Sr. all of the city; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many loyal and devoted family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Ministry for Christ with Bishop Andrea Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
