Alfred Bernard Parks, better known as "Feet", was born August 13, 1957. He departed this life after an extended period of illness on July 14, 2013. Alfred was born and raised in W-S, NC to Mrs. Doretha Parks Jackson, who preceded him in death, as well as his only sister, Y'Dencia Parks.

Alfred graduated from East Forsyth High School and received an Associate degree in business from Forsyth Tech. He was a current member of GCACC. Alfred was employed at RJ Reynolds for over 35 years before retiring. Recently he was employed with Bank of America.

Alfred is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Mrs. Theressa Edwards Parks; two loving and devoted daughters, Brittney (Henri) Newkirk and Courtney Parks; one grandson, Caleb Newkirk; four brothers, Dwight (Kelli) Parks, Humphrey Parks, Thaddeus Jackson, and Dedric Keaton; a very special and dedicated niece, Tashika Parks; a caring aunt, Mrs. Adele Fair; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church, 5095 Lansing Dr. W-S, NC. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
