Alford Lee Kimbrough, 81, was born July 18, 1943 in Winston-Salem, NC to the parents of Doris Norwilla Kimbrough & Paul Lawrence Kimbrough.  He passed away on December 4, 2024 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  Alford Kimbrough was a graduate of Anderson High School in Winston-Salem, NC. He was a moving specialist with Global Van Lines for many years.

Alford Kimbrough was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Norwilla Kimbrough and Paul Lawrence Kimbrough; daughter, Kamala Kimbrough; son, Alford "Red" Kimbrough, Jr.; and brothers, Charles Stevens Kimbrough, Leslie Haywood Kimbrough, and Lawrence Legette Kimbrough.

Alford Kimbrough is survived by his wife of 47 years, Virginia B. Kimbrough; sons, Bryant Clark, "Dre" Damien "Dre" (Shantel P.) Kimbrough, Shannon Kimbrough, and Carlton Kimbrough; daughters, Janie Clark, Rotunya (Danny) Mock, and a bonus daughter, Doretha Dixon; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters, Denise (Larry) Gillis and Doris K. Evans; brothers, Michael Kimbrough, Bobby Kimbrough, Sr., Kayyum Allah, and Landis Kimbrough; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Russell Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.  The family visitation will be held from 1:30pm until 2:00pm on Monday at the Chapel.
