On July 17, 2023, the Lord saw fit to send his angels to wrap their wings around our beloved husband, father, and friend, Mr. Alfonso Teasley George, escorting him into eternal peace and rest for a job well done.
Alfonso was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Cebe and Alice George on January 27, 1947, in Winston-Salem, where he attended and graduated from the local school system. "Al" or "Omega Man" as he was affectionately known as, was also employed by the Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County School System where he was Lead Custodian at Clemmons Preparatory Academy from which he retired. He continued to enjoy life with his wonderful wife, Alice Allen George, whom he met and married in 1977. From this beautiful union he raised three daughters, Tanya, Shereè, and Chondra; and six beautiful grandchildren, Savon, Jihala, Elijah, Javion, Janiya, and Ja'Naiz.
Al was proceeded in death by his parents, Cebe and Alice George; a brother, Don Teasley; and two sisters, Mary Alice and Pearlene.
He leaves behind to cherish memories and love his wife, Alice George; his daughters, Tanya Ford, Shereè George, and Chondra Cole (Sean); grandchildren, Savon, Jihala, Elijah, Javion, Janiya, and Ja'Naiz; siblings, RosaLee (Bean), Dora Hall (Clarence), WillieMae Smith (Rodney), and Emmanuel; three sisters-in-law, Donna Harris (Robert), Deidre Moore (George), and Felecia Williams (Robert); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, and friends. Special acknowledgements to his three additional daughters, Jennae Gray (his "Nae Nae"), Amber Hall, and LaToya Hall; along with a very special niece, Chantia; his very loving sister-in-law, Felecia "Little PitBull"; and a very amazing mother-in-law, Mrs. Mable T. Smith.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:00am on Wednesday at the Chapel.
The family of Mr. Alfonso Teasley George would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for all the calls texts drop bys and acknowledgement.
