Alex Jeremiah Wilson, 17, gained his wings on November 27, 2023 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, NC.  He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on August 24, 2006 to Tanya Wilson.

Alex attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in which he planned on graduating with the Parkland High School Class of 2024.  Alex had a kind and generous spirit that led him to volunteer at the William C. Sims Recreation Center helping out with the neighborhood youth.

Alex was curious, funny, and energetic from a young age. His smile would make you smile, and his laughter could fill a room.  He had a strong passion for life. He wanted to travel and see the world.  He loved sports and was a good athlete and would play football with his friends in the neighborhood.  He enjoyed wrestling with his brothers and sister.  He loved to eat and enjoyed his sister Mo's late night hook-up meals.  He also favored "movie time" with his momma.

Alex was a part of a huge family and was always loved. In addition to his mother, he leaves behind his siblings, Alexander Wilson, Miocheo Wilson, and Elijah Wilson; a loving grandmother, Beaulah G. Wilson; loving aunts, Illa Jackson and Valiree Wilson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, December 8, 2023 at Goler Memorial AME Zion Church with Rev. Dr. George C. Banks officiating.  The family visitation and public viewing will be held from 11:00am until 12noon on Friday at the Church.
