Obituary
On Friday, April 11, 2008, God in his infinite wisdom called from 100 years of humane labor to reward Mr. Alex Issac Scarborough, a beloved and nurturing man.
He was born to John and Emma Scarborough in Bishopville, SC on March 16, 1908.
He retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.
Left to cherish his fond memories are his three sons, Alex I. Scarborough, Jr. (Joanne Gary), Henry Gardner (Thomasina), and Willie Joe Johnson (Ernestine); a devoted niece, Dorothy Gregg McDaniel; a life long cousin of 94 years, Alice Scarborough of Bishopville, SC; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, April 16, 2008 from the First Baptist Church, 700 N. Highland Ave. Interment will follow in Bishopville, SC. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11am on Wednesday at the Church.
