Mr. Alex Cartagena, 47, was born April 4, 1974 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Carmen Cartagena Gonzalez.  He attended Lawrence High School.  He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and an amazing friend.  He loved his music, mainly hip-hop and reggaeton.  Alex will be remembered for his funny catch phrases, memorable laughs, and his dedication to helping others.  He was well-loved, had a huge heart and contagious smile, and he impacted everyone he came across in so many special ways.  Always on the go, "making moves", Alex was always a hard worker.   You could call him anytime and he would always have his doors open without any hesitation.

Alex left us to be with God on July 3, 2021.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, twins, Alexander and Christian Cartagena, and Josiah Cartagena; his parents, Carmen Cartagena Gonzalez and Carlos Sanchez; siblings, Angelo Cartagena, Maria Davila, Frankie Cartagena, Carlos Gonzalez, Leslie Gonzalez, Donnielle Golden, and Joel Sanchez; his girlfriend, Allison Murray; his grandmother; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and special friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we say we love you and you will be deeply missed.
