Mrs. Albertine Anderson Johnson of 100 Azalea Terrace Court Apt. 108 entered into eternity on Tuesday, January 7, 2008 at Oak Summit Nursing Center, Winston-Salem, NC.

Mrs. Johnson was born to John and Eula Mae Anderson on April 5, 1921 in York, SC. She was a former seasonal employee of the Piedmont Leaf Tobacco Company and a former Domestic worker. She was a dedicated member of Phillips Chapel Baptist Church until her health declined.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. Lee Johnson, Jr.; son and daughter, Mr. Leon Johnson and Mrs. Annette Jones; siblings, Mrs. Mary Dunbar, Mrs. Minnie Allison, Mrs. Maime Jordan, Mrs. Rosa McClendon, and Mr. John Anderson.

Mrs. Johnson leaves to cherish fond memories, five sons, Arthur Lee (Lizzie) Anderson of Rock Hill SC, William (Annie) Anderson, Fred (Mary) Anderson, James (Vina) Johnson, and Larry (Blondella) Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, James Albert (Pansey) Anderson of Rock Hill, SC, and Haze Anderson of Winston-Salem, NC; a granddaughter who she raised, Brenda Anderson of Winston-Salem, NC; 31 additional grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 13 great, great-grandchildren, best friend, Clementine Gray and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Monday, January 14, 2008 at Phillips Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad R. Armstrong as the eulogist. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Family visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1 pm Monday at the church.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of a granddaughter, Sophia (Robert) Kennedy, 3725 Crusade Drive; the funeral procession will leave at 11:15 am on Monday at that address.
