Natasha G. Crowder, 37, of 824 Moravia St. in Winston-Salem went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born Nov. 14, 1968, to Annie Scriven and Jimmie Horton. She was a lifelong resident of Winston-Salem and a 1986 graduate of Parkland High School. After graduation, she acquired degrees in cosmetology, CNA I and II, medical terminology, medical technician and pharmacy technician. She was employed by Arbor Acres United Methodist Retirement Community, and she was a member of First Waughtown Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Horton; paternal grandmother, Lola Mae Jolly; and aunts, Anna Jolly and Mary Ann Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Tiarra Scriven; and a son, Darius Wilson and her husband, Raymond Crowder, both of Winston-Salem; her mother, Annie Scriven of the home; two brothers, Calvin and Bobby Scriven; two sisters, Chanda (Milas) Sturdivant and Monica Christian of Winston-Salem; maternal grandparents, James Benjamin and Rosa Powell of Winston-Salem; a mother-in-law, Louise Crowder; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Wright and Robin Crowder; brother-in-law, Reginald Wright; devoted aunts, Betty Benjamin, Julie Carter, Pam Goldsboro, Dorothy Epps and Jamisa Martin; special friends, Tarshia Coleman and Vern Simmons Doster; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, stepchildren and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at First Waughtown Baptist Church at 838 Moravia St., with family visitation from 11 to 11:30 a.m.
