Ms. Myrtle Lee Carpenter 

Ms. Myrtle Lee Carpenter of 120 Azalea Court Terrace, Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a native of Winston-Salem, born on Aug. 16, 1932, the daughter of Dayton and Mattie Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James S. Carpenter; and a daughter, Debbie Jean Carpenter. She is survived by her sons, Sidney (Mary) Carpenter and David Carpenter; three daughters, Brenda A. Carpenter, Vickie (Wayne) Rousseau and Tammie Carpenter, all of Winston-Salem; a sister, Helen Robinson, of Winston-Salem; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the chapel of Russell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Howard Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Family visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the funeral home.(RUSSELL)
