Mrs. Saundra Paulette Shoats Carethers a native of Gastonia , NC and resided in Winston-Salem , NC was born January 22, 1946 in Gaston County to Hazel S. Fite and Masco A. Fite. She departed this life at the Forsyth Medical Center on Sunday, October 29, 2006 .

She was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Rebecca Chapter #5 OES, Gastonia , NC .

She was preceded in death by her father Masco A. Fite.

She is survived by her mother, Hazel S. Fite; daughters, Beverlon Moore (Bernard), Lisa Jones (Robert), Chinnitta Morris, Tonya Morris, Marva Morris, and Allis Lutz; sisters; Glenda Long, Diane Lowery, Warrenetta Tate (Jeffery), Malette Garney, Jackie Dingles (Pete); 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; an uncle, Henry Adams Jr “Uncle Pop”; an aunt, Louise Williams “Aunt Louise”; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, November 4, 2006 at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 5000 Noble Street , Winston-Salem , NC 27105 . Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery , Winston-Salem , NC . Family visitation will be held from 11 am until 12 Noon Saturday at the church.
