Mrs. Lillian Byrd Blair 

Mrs. Lillian Byrd Blair passed away peacefully at the jubilee age of 82 on Friday December 15, 2006, at Somerset Court, University Place Winston-Salem, NC. She was born March 6, 1924 in Winston-Salem, NC to John Henry Byrd and Fannie Clardy Byrd.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Blair; a son Charles Nelson Budd; and a granddaughter, Asenath S. Wooten (Brandy).

Lillian Blair was a loving, tender mother adored greatly by her family. Lillian leaves to cherish her memory three children, Lawrence O. Budd-William (Starlet Q.), Phyllis A. Leonard and Jacquelyn Francis; 10 grandchildren, Robinette Budd, Yolanda Budd-Baldwin (Kevin), Monique Budd, Mark A Walters (Jennifer), V. Andre Walters Jr., Charleston Eugene Leak, Ronald Bailey (Amy), Prudina William, Lillian William, Carla Budd and Alexis V. William; 30 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Lillian also leaves behind a host of other cherished family members and friends.

Funeral services will held at 11 am Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Mercy Seat Holiness Church, where Pastor Theodore Rice resides, with the Reverend Charles G. Leak officiating. The family visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday at the Church. The family will receive friends from 7 pm- 9 pm on Tuesday Dec 19, 2006 at the home of Ronald & Amy Bailey 3025 Teresa Ave Winston-Salem, NC, as well as at the home of Lawrence and Starlet William 30 Pilot Ridge Ct. Greensboro, NC 27407.
