Ms. Helen Ashe

Ms. Helen Ashe, known as “Poochie,” 54, of 1430 Garfield Ave., passed away Tuesday February 14, 2006 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born May 10, 1951 to Louise F. and James E. Scott, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her father, James E. Scott, Sr. and a nephew, Edward Scott. She is survived by her mother, Louise F. Scott, a loving and devoted significant other of 36 years, Cornelius Henderson; three children; Scheirich Ashe, Michelle A. Wright (Malcolm, Sr.), and Michael Ashe; seven grandchildren; Dishon Ashe, Kierre Ashe, Chrisshawn Cannon, Laevaughn Cannon, Tabitha Wright, Malcolm Wright, Jr., and Makayla Ashe; a great-grandchild, Chalene Ashe; two brothers, James E. Scott, Jr. and Charles Scott; a sister; Phyllis Scott; a devoted niece, Toni Warren; nieces and nephews, Charles J. Scott, II, Joel T. Scott, Chariss D. Scott, Carla Scott Brown (Randy) James Scott (Angeleak), and Stacey Scott; and a devoted friend, Cynthia Washington.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel with Troy Thornton officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Family visitation will be held from Noon until 1 pm Monday at the funeral home.
