  Mr. David Adams 

Mr. David Adams of 920 Cherry Street, Utica NY passed away Thursday, April 26, 2006 at the Kate B.. Reynolds Home after a short illness. He was born on March 10, 1943, the son of the Reverend John Adams and Louise Haines in Miami, Florida.
David and family relocated to Utica, NY as a youngster and attended Utica public schools. He retired after 35 years of working as a Construction Engineer for Utica Teamster Local Union #545. He served on the Board of Utica Community Action for several years and was actively involved in the Big Brother/Big Sister program.
He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, Verdell Wilson, Rachel Johnson and Aramintha Smith and one brother, Carl Adams.
He is survived by three loving daughters, Monica Blocker, Cynthia Daniels both of Winston-Salem, NC and Joannie (Ernest) White of Bear, DE; one son, David Lamar Adams of Utica, NY; nine grandchildren, Celycia and Phillip Scott, Jamal and Monet Blocker, Ashley and Cyril Jefferson, Malik, Brie and Miles White; one great-grandson, Darrian Bynum, Jr.; step-mother, Annie Bell Adams of Flint, Mich.; seven brothers, Johnnie Lee of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Joseph of Utica, NY, Jerome Lee, Emanuel (Olivia), Ernest (Stephanie) of Schenectady, NY, Nathaniel of Baltimore, MD, and Arthur Lee of Buffalo, NY, sisters, Edith Donaldson of Tampa, Fla. and Juanita (Charlie) Price of Schenectady, NY; a longtime and very dear friend, Jack Frazier of Deerfield, NY; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Monday, May 1, 2006 at Greater Holy Temple Church, 1309 Howard Avenue, Utica, NY with Elder Alvin W. Nelson, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Winston-Salem, NC with graveside rites at Noon Wednesday, May 3, 2006.
