Evangelist Alma Ella Sturdivant

Our beloved mother, Evangelist Alma Ella Sturdivant, known to many as “MAMA” and “GRANNY” of 1353 Calvert Drive went to be with Jesus in Heaven on Wednesday, November 16, 2005.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Reverend James Sturdivant and a son, James Sturdivant, Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Alma Marie Sturdivant of the home and Shirley Jackson of Winston-Salem, NC; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters; three brothers, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 12:30 PM from the Chapel of the Russell Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. James Linville officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family visitation will be from 12:00 NOON until 12:30 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
