Ms. Sherrie Annette Smith

God dispatched his precious angels to escort Ms. Sherrie Annette Smith, 46, from her earthly life to rest in her new heavenly home on Sunday, December 18, 2005. She was born on February 8, 1959 to James A. Smith and Doris Smith. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and served as coordinator of the Meals on Wheels Ministry. Sherrie attended Parkland High School and was a graduate of Winston-Salem State University and continued her education at Forsyth Technical Community College and A & T State University. She worked at American Express for 15 years and was employed at Kohl's Department Store.
Sherrie leaves fond memories of her life with her devoted mother, Doris Williams; three sisters, LaVern Ford, Lisa Smith and E. Denise Campbell (Willie); two brothers, James Smith, Jr. and Len Smith (Geraldine); a devoted friend, Darrell Rawls; and his mother, Lillian; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday, December 23, 2005 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Reverend Donald Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from Noon until 1 pm Friday at the Church.
