Mrs. Willie Deborah Fuller Miles

Mrs. Willie Deborah Fuller Miles, 88, of 4620 Pine Hall Road, Walkertown, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 4, 1917, in Jamestown to William Arthur and Lizzie McClain Fuller. She was a graduate of Florence High School, class of 1939. She married Mr. Nathaniel T. Miles on Feb. 8, 1941. From this union they were blessed with five precious children, Nathaniel Jr., James, Jacquelyn, Vernell and John Frank Miles. Mrs. Miles retired from Forsyth Medical Center on March 13, 1976. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for over 60 years, where she was a faithful member of the Senior Choir, Mary Dudley Women's Progressive Auxiliary and the senior Missionary Auxiliary for as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Lizzie; three sisters, Marie, Annie and Grace; two brothers, William and John Henry Fuller; and her husband, Nathaniel, on June 26, 2001. She leaves to cherish her precious memories four beloved sons, Nathaniel Miles Jr. (Ennis) of Walkertown, James William Miles (Ellen) of Winston-Salem, Vernell Delano Miles (Vicki) of Walkertown and John Frank Miles of Walkertown; and a faithful and devoted daughter, Jacquelyn Evelyn Miles of Winston-Salem. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren, Arnita, Lottie, Willette, Winifer, Char'na, Mar'na, Brandon, Nathan, Marquis, Natashia, Nateeja and Nolan; seven great-grandchildren; seven sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mollie M. Harris of Petersburg, Va., Mrs. Eliza F. Gilbert of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Itasca J. Miles, Mrs. Zura M. McFarlin of Winston-Salem, Mrs. Pearl Miles of Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Sarah I. Fuller and Mrs. Ida G. Fuller of High Point; a brother-in-law, Mr. Ernest A. Miles of Winston-Salem; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many caring friends. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Russell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Walkertown, with the Rev. I.L. Anthony officiating. Interment will be at the Miles family plot at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Walkertown.
