Mrs.  Irma Louise Brooks Gwynn

Mrs. Irma Louise Brooks Gwynn was born June 27, 1919 to Augustus Alexandra and Florence Brooks yield to the call of God on Saturday, December 17, 2005. She was educated in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System.
She was an active member of Shouse CME Church, where she served on the Willing Workers Club, Stewardess, Missionary Society, and the Sunday School. She was also a member of the old Carver community Club, while health permitted.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Lorenzo Brooks, and Isaiah “Bill” Gwynn, Jr.
Irma is survived by her faithful husband, Isaiah of 65 years; four, daughters, Louise (Bethel) Floyd of Sacramento, Cal., Carolyn Galloway, Dorothy Ducksworth, Juanita Clark all of Winston-Salem, NC; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, numerous great, great grandchildren; one sister, Velma (the Reverend J.W.) McCullough; one daughter-in-law, Maxine M. Gwynn all of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, the Reverend Constance Anderson and the Shouse Temple Church family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Russell Fuenral Home Chapel with the Reverend Constance Anderson, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
