| COLUMBIA, S.C. - Mr.
Thelton "June P" Guess Jr., 46, formerly of
Winston-Salem, N.C., passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at the
Veterans Administration Medical Center in Columbia, S.C. He was
born Nov. 8, 1959, in Winston-Salem, N.C. to Thelton Guess Sr.
and Shirley D. Guess. He was a graduate of Parkland High School
and later served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by
his mother, Shirley D. Guess and two sisters, Debbie D. Thomas
and Chrysanthia E. Guess. He leaves to cherish his fond memory
three children, Monte Potter and Sharmeka Guess and Michael
Guess; his father, Thelton Guess Sr.; four sisters, Sharon
Nowlin, Sherian "Elaine" Gillespie, Cynthia
Guess-Godwin (Roderick) and Toni Guess; and a host of uncles,
aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday, Dec. 27, in
the chapel of Russell Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Johnson
officiating. Interment will follow at Salisbury National
Cemetery in Salisbury, N.C. The family visitation will be from
11:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home. The family may
