Mr. Marcel Dermand Cherry

Mr. Marcel Dermand Cherry, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Mildred Cherry was born on May 25, 1943 in Baltimore, MD.
He passed away into his eternal rest on November 17, 2005 at the Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, NC after a major surgery.
At an early age he was a born-again Christian and later in life he joined Christ Temple Church and remained devoted to our Lord Jesus Christ.
He attended the Baltimore City Public Schools where he completed the 10th grade at which time he entered the United States Army in 1961. He completed his GED in the Army at that time along with electronic courses. He served as an electronic technician in Frankfurt, Germany. He returned to the United States and was later honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1963. He worked at various jobs and continued his education in mechanics with his most recent employment was with Roadway Express.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 12:00 NOON from the Chapel of the Russell Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be from 11:30 AM until 12:00 NOON on Wednesday at the funeral home
