On
October 4, 2005, John Wesley Carethers of
2636 Woodcreek Road
was called home by the Lord. Mr. Carethers was born on October 11, 1944,
the son of James, Sr. and Elizabeth Carethers. He attended the
Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and was a retired employee of R.J.
Reynolds Tobacco Company with 35 years of service.
He
was preceded in death by his parents.
He
is survived by four daughters, Pamela (Billy) Lewis of Oklahoma City,
OK, Paula Carethers of Edmond, OK, Patrina Carethers of Oklahoma City,
OK (their mother, Shirley Conrad) and Shaunita Ervin (her mother, his
special and devoted friend, Brenda Ervin) of Winston-Salem, NC; three
granddaughters, Bailey, Chyna and Tiara; four brothers, James, Jr.,
Harry (Mae), Alphonso (Veronica) Carethers and Robert (Deatra) Lynch;
three sisters, Annie Caldwell, Mary (Freddie) Hopkins and Betty Johnson;
two aunts, Mary (Arthur) Hanner and Christine Davis; an adopted
daughter, Yaminah Scales all of Winston-Salem, NC; a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday,
October 8, 2005 at 12:00 NOON from the
Kimberly
Park
Holiness
Church
with Bishop Joseph P. Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in the
Evergreen
Cemetery
. The family visitation will be from 11:30 AM until 12:00 NOON on
Saturday at the Church.
